Male menopause is the masculine equivalent of menopause. It's the set of physical and emotional manifestations of the man, as a response to the drop in the level of testosterone. It can appear as a decrease in sexual urges and erectile dysfunction. A man going through male menopause can also suffer from insomnia, weight gain, and excessive perspiration, all this added to a general drop in energy. The only treatment, testosterone, is not efficient in every case. It causes side-effects like a greater risk of prostate cancer or stroke.
