March 2017

Resilience is a term used in psychology to describe a person's capacity to deal with physical or psychological trauma and overcome it, then bounce back and move forward. The individual is able to understand and assess the psychological impact of an obstacle or traumatic shock, in order to overcome it more easily and live a full life despite the psychological damage inflicted. Resilience is often spurred on by personal reflection, discussion, or therapeutic support.
