Definition


A childcare assistant is paramedical staff, generally female, who takes care of young children. The childcare assistant meets a very diverse public, in establishments as varied as hospitals, nurseries and day care centers. The childcare assistant manages the sleep, comfort, toilet needs, meals, security, and games of the children of which she takes care. Her field of competence is vast, encompassing childhood as a whole.
