Impotence is defined as an inability to maintain a sufficient erection in order to perform sexually. This erectile dysfunction affects one in every four men in life. The associated causes can be diverse and widely-varying. Impotence can be related to psychological conditions, such as stress, depression, and the pressure to perform. It can also be caused by medication administered for unrelated conditions, of which we can notably cite cardiovascular disease, hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, or obesity.
