Liposarcoma is a very aggressive, rare cancer
that develops from fat cells
. Malignant tumors
are generally in the legs
. It manifests itself in the form of a lump appearing under the skin, and its similarity to lipoma, which is fortunately a much more common and benign tumor
, will favor an analysis by biopsy
of the tumor
. First, an ultrasound may be performed. Surgical treatment, consisting of the removal of the tumor, is preferred. Surgery may be preceded or followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy
is sometimes specified.
