Gallstones in right hypochondrium

I've had two recent x-rays that have shown a cluster of gallstones in my upper right- hypochondrium. I have recently been receiving pain in this region when I eat; usually right after the first few bites of food,no matter if it something non-fatty, like yogurt. How do I determine if this pain is from the gallstones, or something else, like heartburn, or GERD; which I have been diagnosed with in the past, but have not had any problems or taking any medications for the past 5 years.
