DNA test: find out your baby's sex 7 weeks into the pregnancy

Testing kits are now available in the UK to find out the sex of your baby from the seventh week of pregnancy.

By sending a drop of blood , collected from a finger and fixed on blotting paper, a pregnant woman can find out the sex of her child. Results take approximately a week.

Be advised 'it is not a proven medical DNA test and has no scientific basis'. It is expensive to buy and some experts believe it could cause many problems if the results were wrong and and the sex did not turn out what to be what was predicted.
