Physical activity and doing sports are different.

According to WHO, the word sport covers a wide array of physical activities, which are normally both specialised and organised. According to Inserm, physical activity refers to exercise or activity at home, at work, using public transport or self directed exercise.

30 minutes of moderate activity 5 times per week

30 minutes of moderate physical activity, 5 times per week, has health benefits, for people from the age of 18 to 65
  • Duration: a minimum of 30 minutes
  • Moderate intensity (steady walking - 4 to 5 kilometers per hour approximately)
  • Practiced at least 5 days/week

High intensity activity 3 times per week

Physical activity of high intensity 3 times per week has health benefits, for people from the age of 18 to 65
  • Duration: 20 minutes
  • High intensity (jogging)
  • Practiced 3 times per week
