Benefits and Disadvantages of Playing Squash

Squash is one of the most practiced sports in the world. It requires an excellent physical condition and can be practiced beginning at an early age.

Benefits and Disadvantages of Squash

Squash develops flexibility, speed, and reflexes, improves resistance, stimulates the cardiac muscle, and increases endurance capacities.

Disadvantages of the sport are mainly cardiovascular in nature. The constant exertion during gameplay can cause issues with cardiac and arterial pressure. Also, since the game is played in a closed room, a person who suffers from claustrophobia might do better to avoid this sport.

Some issues caused by playing squash include pains in the shoulder and in the elbows; back problems; knee and elbow sprains; and cramps, strains, tendinitis. They can best be avoiding by properly warming up before a match and staying hydrated.
