Anabolism - Definition

Ask a question

Anabolism aids in the construction and renewal of cellular tissue through the transformation of simple elements resulting from the digestion of sugars, fats, and proteins. It is one element of the metabolism. The other element, the catabolism, is responsible for transforming molecules assimilated by the tissues into energy. Anabolism can be raised, particularly for the development of muscle mass, by taking natural anabolic steroids or other steroids that promote the synthesis of proteins.
