Anguish/Fear - Definition

Definition

Anguish/fear is a psychological state neighboring that of anxiety. Anguish is the manifestation of deep unease. It can arise suddenly and disappear rapidly. It often appears through minor physical discomforts which begin and progress in a matter of minutes such as a squeezing feeling in the stomach, heart palpitations, sweating, rapid breathing, nausea, fainting, insomnia, shaking, fatigue, or crying. This anguish/fear can be treated through psychological counseling or with chemical medications, like anxiolytics, or natural medicine, like homeopathy or herbal infusions.
