Ask a question

A neurologist is a doctor specialized in the branch of neurology. In other words, a neurologist specializes in all diseases and conditions affecting the nervous system, particularly diseases that directly target the central nervous system, be it in the region of the brain or spinal cord, such as with epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, forms of dementia like Alzheimer's disease, brain hemorrhage, or brain or medullary tumor (affecting the spinal cord). This specialization also investigates diseases of the peripheral nervous system, notably in cases of diabetes that have evolved into diabetic neuropathy, or any other neural damage.
