Viral pneumopathy - Definition

Ask a question

Pneumopathy is the generic term used to describe conditions affecting the lungs. Viral pneumopathy, more often called viral pneumonia, describes all diseases affecting the lungs caused by a virus. These are the most common types of pulmonary disease, as well as being the most contagious. The primary symptoms of a viral pneumopathy are a generally progressive manifestation of symptoms, slower than that of bacterial pneumopathy, accompanied by relatively high fever with generally great fatigue, muscle ache, chills, sore throat, runny nose, and a more or less severe cough. Medication to treat the symptoms is usually sufficient in curing viral pneumopathy.
