Interstitial cystitis - Definition

Interstitial cystitis is a rare form of cystitis (bladder inflammation), especially affecting women. The symptoms are very acute and frequent pain in the bladder and urethra, accompanied by very frequent urgent urination which is a source of socio-psychological problems. The causes of interstitial cystitis are currently unknown, it is therefore better to simply treat the symptoms without having the power to fight the disease itself.
