Feet - Definition


Distal end of the body, the foot is made up with about 26 bones divided between the tarsus, metatarsus and phalanges of the five toes. It also includes cartilage and muscles.
His great tenderness comes from many nerves endings of the foot.
We distinguish the plant (or arch) and back, a medial and a lateral edge.
Its rear part is composed by the heel. Connected to the leg by the ankle, the foot is essential to the balance and for walking.
