Ask a question

Modesty is a term used to describe Man's predisposition for expressing moral or physical reserve in terms of what is considered indecent. This reserve and discretion in the social sphere is particularly associated with sexual issues. Modesty can therefore be expressed as a refusal to expose intimate or sexual details of one's life to others, or as wearing clothing or conserving a physical appearance that does not shock. At the opposing end of the scale, exhibitionism or indecent exposure are considered as immoral acts that offend others.
