Tiger Balm - Definition

Tiger Balm is an ointment used to relieve musculoskeletal pains. Originating in China, it has been imported to Europe since the beginning of the twentieth century and can replace medications for certain afflictions: headaches, painful contractures, insect stings, etc. Often, and wrongly, considered dangerous, it nonetheless constitutes one of the major remedies of natural medicine. It has been manufactured in Singapore since 1926, and distributed by Haw Par Healthcare.
