Brucellosis - Definition


Brucellosis is a disease that creates an infectious syndrome. It is caused by the contamination of Brucella bacteria, found on certain animals (such as bovine and ovine species). The contamination is transmitted through the ingestion of contaminated meat. It generally has no symptoms. However, in some cases it may produce fever, muscle aches, and sweating.
