Oral cancer - Definition


A cancer is a disease that leads to an uncontrolled proliferation of cells and tissues, which in turn leads to the growth of tumors. Oral cancer is a condition affecting the mucus membranes of the mouth. It has diverse symptoms: dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), bleeding, redness, stinging, etc. It primarily affects the tongue, tonsils, cheeks, lips, or gums. A rapid detection and early therapeutic care can improve the prognosis.
