Cyclosporine - Definition

Ask a question

Cyclosporine is an immunosuppressant drug, used especially to avoid the rejection of grafts after a transplant (of the heart, marrow, lung, kidney, etc.). It also treats certain dermatological or rheumatological pathologies, such as atopic dermatitis (including those in dogs and cats), psoriasis, or rheumatoid arthritis. Though effective, cyclosporine can potentially be dangerous for the kidneys and opens the way to infection as it disables the immune system.
