Diclofenac - Definition

Diclofenac is a medication belonging to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs). It can be administered orally, cutaneously, through injection, the rectum or the eye, and treats inflammatory pains due to its properties as an analgesic (painkiller), antipyretic (combatting fever) and, of course, anti-inflammatory. This NSAID, well-known under its commercial name, Voltarene, is not recommended for long-term use, nor after the sixth month of pregnancy, except in the form of a collyrium and during a short period.
