Doxycycline - Definition


Doxycycline is an antibacterial antibiotic that has an anti-inflammatory effect, and that is also capable of increasing sebum excretion. In this respect, doxycycline is used in the treatment of acne. As an antibiotic, it is used in cases of bronchitis, Gram + infections (streptococcus, staphylococcus, etc.) and Gram - infections (E. Coli, brucellosis, etc.).
