Beer is an alcoholic drink and, in this regard, must be consumed in moderation. However, beer also has various health benefits.

Health Effects of Beer Consumption

Alcohol abuse (consuming more than three glasses per day in this case) is dangerous for the health, as it can lead to cirrhosis or digestive cancer, as well as increasing the risk of traffic accidents.



Nevertheless, beer also has beneficial effects on health. It reduces the risk of diabetes, is a diuretic (promoting kidney function), aids the work of the intestines, regulates stress and, like wine, reduces the risk of developing cardio-vascular diseases.
