Herbivore - Definition

The term of "herbivore" refers to any living organism that only eats live vegetation, although herbivores can accidentally ingest larva or eggs present on plants. In mammals, some herbivores possess multiple stomach pouches in order to achieve a slow digestive process of the vegetation. There are many subcategories of herbivores, including frugivores, who eat fruit, granivores, who eat seeds, or nectarivores, who eat the nectar of flowers.
