Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia - Definition


Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia is a phobia believed to be of biblical origin, which is the fear of the number 666, and, by extension, of satanical manifestations. This number is mentioned in verse 13:18 of the book of Revelation, and represents the devil. It is a phobia, linked to superstition, which causes irrational panic when confronted with supernatural phenomena or any mention of the different names by which Satan is known. This phobia can often be seen in cinema.
