Hippophagia - Definition

Hippophagia defines a diet based on horse meat consumption. This presents no risk whatsoever for the health in comparison with other types of meat consumption. It remains, however, a minority practice, and is even against the law in certain countries, such as in the United States. Criticism of this dietary choice primarily comes from animal rights defenders. The taste of horse meat is stronger than that of beef.
