Disease - Defintion

The disease is a set of alterations which causes a malfunction of the body. The patient is the individual who suffers from a disease, that is to say, changing symptoms requiring therapeutic treatment. It should not be confused with disease disability, syndrome or injury. Many factors can cause disease in humans. These causes can be intrinsically or extrinsically related to the body.
The etiology is the science that studies the factors that lead to disease.
