Hydrogen peroxide - Definition


Hydrogen peroxide is a light colored liquid which is used in medicine, but also as a cosmetic and household product. Hydrogen peroxide has antiseptic properties. It is applied topically to skin wounds to disinfect and prevent the growth of germs. Hydrogen peroxide is a component of certain products used in dermatology.
