Harpagophytum - Definition

Harpagophytum, commonly known as "devil's claw," is a plant of the sesame family whose roots have medicinal properties. These roots are thus able to relieve joint pain and decrease the functional impairment resulting from these pains. Harpagophytum is mainly used to treat joint pain due to arthritis, inflammation of tendons called tendonitis, and rheumatism. It is marketed in many forms: capsules, ointment, tablets ... Its use may cause some digestive disorders, but this is rare, and occurs only at high doses.
