Homeostasis is the ability of a system to maintain its internal equilibrium. All body mechanisms are in homeostasis: heart rate, respiration, urination, sweating, digestion, body temperature, blood composition ... All these natural phenomena enable the balance of the whole body and normal operations. The hormones secreted by the various glands of the human body, as well as part of the nervous system called the vegetative or autonomic nervous system, are the major elements of these regulatory phenomena.
