Ketoderm® shampoo - Definition

Ketoderm® is a trade name of a product containing ketoconazole, a molecule with antifungal properties, meaning against fungi. It exists as a cream, in a container containing a single dose, or shampoo. It is used to treat fungal infections, caused by fungi. Depending on the location, the shampoo is used for the scalp, and creams for the rest of the glabrous (hairless) skin. Although Ketoderm ® is available without a prescription, it should not be used without medical advice. It can cause redness or itching. It can be used as prevention, or as a treatment for several weeks.
