Libido - Definition

Libido refers to the instinct of the pursuit of pleasure and is often associated with sexuality. Correct libido requires the proper functioning of the genitalia and sexual hormones. It also depends on good psychological health. The absence or loss of libido can be caused by disorders of hormone secretion, a mechanical problem, or a period of psychological stress: depression, stress, personal, family, or couple. Libido is unique to each individual.
