Spermatic cord

The spermatic cord is a structure of the male reproductive system that connects the inguinal canal of the abdomen to the testicle. Cylindrical in form, it consists of the vas deferens, nerves, lymph nodes, and blood vessels, all connecting to the testicles. Torsion of the spermatic cord is one of the disorders that can affect this area. This results in very severe testicular pain and should be considered a surgical emergency.
