Ask a question

Anatomy is defined as a science that studies the different parts of living organisms, both animals and plants. By dissection or other means, it studies the size, structure, and elements that make up a human body or plant.

One may also identify a subfield of general anatomy that also takes into account the analysis of physiology and focuses on volume, organization, etc. of elements in an organism. Another field often referred to as surgical anatomy constitutes the detailed study of a specific region of the body.
