Hi my husband 54 years old is suffering from a rectal cancer located at around 11 cm from the colon and he is having his 20th radiotherapy. He is very upset, tired, with stomach pain and problems to urinate. The doctor says that he will have a total of 25 session of radiotherapy with 5 weeks at rest before the removal of the tumor. How will this do? Anyone can reassure me please?

Hello
All this is going to be very difficult and traumatic for your husband and all of you and the family. You are all going to have to be very brave and strong for your husband. The surgery is often massive, and you must get the full story from his surgeon. Ask all the questions, and gain as much information as possible so you can support your husband. Take care and very good luck to you all. Be courageous.
