Hi I wish to know if it is possible to localize traces of nicotine or cigarettes in the blood?

Well I am 14 and I smoke and my mother told me that I will have to undergo a blood test.

I am worried - I thought cigarette traces can only be found in the lung?

Thank you
Levels of nicotine can be traced in both the blood and lungs. You need a carbon monoxide monitor to measure it in the lungs and unless your mum has access to a laboratory for testing blood - no doctor would allow such a blood test unless you were in danger.

I suspect you mother might be trying to frighten you. Even so - you shouldn't be smoking at 14 - not any age it is very bad for you, expensive and causes premature ageing as well as cancer.

Thank you
Hey you are right this won't live any traces in your blood only alcohol will do in increasing your Gamma GT. You could also take advantage and stop smoking it's simply bad for health. Do take care and be careful.
