Can bodybuilding stop my growth?

Hello

I'll be 16 next month, I play basketball in a team and my coach wants me to start practicing some bodybuilding. He gave me some training guidelines, consisting of 5 sets of 10 pushups, 5 sets of 10 sit ups and 10 minutes of skipping rope (morning and evening). I wonder whether or not this program could stop or slow down my growth?

Hi,
You are still in a growing phase and bear in mind that your bones are still tender, I don't think these exercises with affect your growth.

Simple exercises like push ups,sit ups,jumping won't affect you at all but if you start heavy exercises in the gym it would really affect you.
