Good morning friends I suffer from familial hypercholesterolemia and the doctor says that if my level of cholesterol remains the same I will have to go through the treatment. Well I am not eager for this but guess I don't have much choice about this. Can anyone help me please?

Thank you
Hello
You must monitor you diet and your blood tests will be monitored by your doctor. I would advise you to stick to a low fat diet, no junk food. But if you have the condition the evidence now shows that you will have to take the medication to keep your cholesterole down. Do not smoke and avoid alcohol too, and do daily exercise this will help you stay fit. Take care and good luck to you

Hi
Familial Hypercholesterolemia, is a hereditory condition that causes your body to store fats. It is not your fault, and now there are statins that do help. Once you are being monitored this condition will be controlled. Take care and if you are worried speak to your doctor for his advise.
