Good morning to everyone, I am under pressure as my father who is 68 years old suffers from refractory hepatitis and he has never been alcoholic. He has to go through puncture each three weeks and now I can see the ascites which is quite red. What does this means please?

Hello
This type of hepatitis is caused by Hep C, and once the liver is so infected and cirrhosis is this bad, then you must be brave and support your father. Speak to your fathers doctors and get them to explain just how ill he is. Take care and sincere best wishes to you
