Hello,
When I was 3 years old I suffered from frequent episode of otitis media. I've lost the hearing in my left ear. The most annoying is that I never admit to anyone that I have hearing problems and prefer to pretend that I heard what they say even if this is not the case. I need to solve this problem. Is this possible? Should I wear an aid?

Thank you
Hello
How old are you please? So you are deaf in one ear, that is nothing to be ashamed of. You did not choose to face such a complicated situation, you must deal with this now. You must ask your GP for a referral to a specialist ENT surgeon, and gain his opinion. He will beable to advise you what is the best treatment, or hearing aid you may benefit from. Good luck and take care.

Take care.
