Hi my daughter is 10 years old and complains about severe pain at the knee since months. She does gymnastics and is very good in this discipline and does not want to stop event to rest. Even her young age does not stop her from being very determined to do what she wants to, but what are these pains due to please?

Thank you
Hi have you ever heard of Osgood-schlatter? This has nothing to do with an illness but can be classified as a disease causing an inflammation at the bones of the knee. Very often this happens when children are at puberty and where their body are growing and changing too rapidly. And intensive practice of sport can also be the cause, take her to a specialist. Good luck.
