Some of us may already experienced being connected to a pulse oximeter without even knowing what the device is for. FYI, it is a medical device that measures the saturation of oxygen in the blood. This is a non-invasive device, meaning you do not have to draw out blood just to get the readings.

I can still remember my son, he was so afraid when the nurse is about to put the pulse oximeter on his finger. He was crying out loud because he thought that it is painful . . . =)

What is the normal saturation for oxygen in the blood please?
