Greetings:

I recently received my ancestors Civil War Pension record. He was wounded three times in the Seven Days in 1862. His pension was based upon the fact that he suffered "affection of the right leg" and a gun shot wound to the right side and neuralgia which resulted in the loss of hearing. I am assuming a wound to the leg caused him to be lame, but is there another cause of this disorder. I also assume that the term is antiquated.

Thanks
