Hello,

I'm turning 19 in 2 months

Yesterday I went to the doctor for a routine check and a blood pressure test.
All the results are fine, except that my doctor asked me if I was stressed as my blood pressure was around 150/90.

He told me that I should take the necessary precautions and monitor my blood pressure regulary.Since we had this talk I'm feeling tired, suffering from headaches and sometimes heart palpitations.

Should I see my doctor again for a blood pressure check again?

Thank you
I advise you see your GP again and explain the other symptoms that you mention (headaches, palpitations and fatigue ...).

IT IS QUITE DIFFICULT to determine if your blood pressure rate is to high based on a single reading , in fact, for some people , see their doctor, can be stressful event and as result increase a persons blood pressure.

So, it would be sensible to take at least 2 or 3 more BP readings, and assess your other symptoms.

Note that you can monitor your own blood pressure at home, using an ABPM (Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring device). They can be bought from most pharmacists.
